Real Good Toys, Farmhouse Challenge Mini Contest 2022-2023

This is my submission...

I worked on this house on and off over the last year-ish between doctor's appointments, driving my family around, FFA events, selling at a craft fair, holidays, life, and planning a wedding.  Then of course I worked feverishlly on it the last month before the deadline, lol.  I am super happy with the results.  Many of the pieces in the house I am excited to duplicate and add to my Etsy store.  The contest required that you write 100 words as to why you chose between traditional, modern, or industrial.

This is my 100 word backstory...  

Modern farmhouse combines homey comfort with modern luxuries creating a cozy, functional space. My late father grew-up on a traditional dairy farm learning an Irish work ethic that would be ingrained in myself and generations to come. My love of miniatures was reignited when at 45 years old I was diagnosed with cancer and forced to reflect on all the beauty there is in the world and how I desired to continue to experience it! My farmhouse “The Wild Sunflower” is a home that joins warm farmhouse history with present beauty; I hope you get lost in the experience.
